One of the few bands left on my list of “Bands To See”, I finally was able to see Green Day. I won thelottery at work and was able to pick up tickets that way meaning I didn’t have to stand in crazy lineswith the chance of the tickets selling out too quick. What a concert. The energy was insane, they wereinteractive with the crowd, and they knew where they were. London. Not England. How many non-Londoners know where we are?
2026: I’ve seen Green Day five or six times now — they never disappoint. I even caught American Idiot: The Musical. And if you want to understand why, throw on “Bullet in a Bible” — the live album recorded at Milton Keynes during the American Idiot tour. That record captures exactly the energy I remember from seeing them at the Molson Amphitheatre.
